Me Messages help children begin the process of growing confidence, comfort and skill in expressing common needs, wants, and opinions. They help turn the internal external to avoid acting out behaviors or meltdowns stemming from inhibited communication and unmet needs. Create a safe space where the use of these signs is praised, honored, and encouraged, with the goal of eventual direct verbal communication. Can be used in counseling, in schools, or in the home.

COMES WITH TWO, DOUBLE SIDED SIGNS:

PAUSE: For children who have difficulty communicating that they have reached the end of their “band- width” or are at maximum emotional capacity and need a break to recharge or reset.

DISAGREE: For children who experience difficulty or discomfort in communicating disagreement verbally or in a prosocial manner.

LOVE/ATTENTION: For children who desire additional soothing, support, love, or affection but have difficulty or discomfort in directly seeking such.

QUESTION: For children who have difficulty asking questions verbally
